Management & Editing
After creating your commands, it is important to know how to manage them to keep your chat organized and up to date.
Editing a Command
Section titled “Editing a Command”If you need to change a response or adjust the cooldown:
- Go to the “Command List” tab.
- Find the command you want to change.
- Click the pencil icon (edit) next to it.
- Make the desired changes.
- Click “Save”. The change is immediate.
Activating and Deactivating
Section titled “Activating and Deactivating”Sometimes you want to “pause” a command without deleting it (e.g., a special event command like !christmas).
- In the Command List, locate the command.
- Look for a button or switch that says “Active”.
- Click to turn it off (it will turn gray or unchecked).
- To reactivate, just click again.
Removing a Command
Section titled “Removing a Command”If a command is no longer useful:
- In the Command List, find the command.
- Click the trash can or X icon.
- Confirm deletion if the system asks.
Organizing your Commands
Section titled “Organizing your Commands”To keep everything organized and easy to find:
- Clear Names: Use short and obvious names (e.g.,
discordinstead oflink_to_voice_server). - Aliases: If Bearry allows “Aliases”, use them for variations. E.g., command
socialcan have aliases likesocials,links,networks. Thus, the bot understands any of these. - Mental Categories: When creating, think: “Is this informative?”, “Is this fun?”. Use the description to note this.
- Cleaning: Once a month, review the list and delete what no one uses.
