Management & Editing

After creating your commands, it is important to know how to manage them to keep your chat organized and up to date.

If you need to change a response or adjust the cooldown:

  1. Go to the “Command List” tab.
  2. Find the command you want to change.
  3. Click the pencil icon (edit) next to it.
  4. Make the desired changes.
  5. Click “Save”. The change is immediate.

Sometimes you want to “pause” a command without deleting it (e.g., a special event command like !christmas).

  1. In the Command List, locate the command.
  2. Look for a button or switch that says “Active”.
  3. Click to turn it off (it will turn gray or unchecked).
  4. To reactivate, just click again.

If a command is no longer useful:

  1. In the Command List, find the command.
  2. Click the trash can or X icon.
  3. Confirm deletion if the system asks.

To keep everything organized and easy to find:

  • Clear Names: Use short and obvious names (e.g., discord instead of link_to_voice_server).
  • Aliases: If Bearry allows “Aliases”, use them for variations. E.g., command social can have aliases like socials, links, networks. Thus, the bot understands any of these.
  • Mental Categories: When creating, think: “Is this informative?”, “Is this fun?”. Use the description to note this.
  • Cleaning: Once a month, review the list and delete what no one uses.
