Intervals and Frequency (Best Practices)

The secret to a good timer is balance.

• Slow/Medium Chat: Set intervals of 30 to 60 minutes. If the bot talks more than people, it gets annoying.
• Fast Chat: You can use intervals of 15 to 30 minutes.
• Multiple Timers: If you have 4 timers (Instagram, Discord, Youtube, Rules) and set them all to 10 minutes, the bot will send a message every 2.5 minutes (on average). Think about the set!

Message Types: Normal vs Announcement

• Normal:
  • Usage: Social media, funny phrases, routine reminders.
  • Visual: Common text, same as users.
• Announcement:
  • Usage: Game change, imminent giveaway notice, critical rules.
  • Visual: Colored border and highlight in Twitch chat.
  • Caution: Excessive use of announcements can tire the eyes and lose the “urgency” effect.
