Creating a New Timer

When clicking on “New Timer” (or the + icon), a form will appear. Here’s how to fill it out:

  • Timer Name:
    • What it is: an internal identifier for you. It does not appear in the chat.
    • Example: “Instagram Promo”, “Rules Warning”.
    • Limit: Maximum 50 characters.
  • Message:
    • What it is: The exact text the bot will send in the chat.
    • Tip: Can contain emojis and links.
    • Example: “Guys, don’t forget to follow on Insta: instagram.com/mynick 📸”
    • Limit: Maximum 500 characters.
  • Interval (Minutes):
    • What it is: How often this message will be sent.
    • Minimum: 1 minute.
    • Maximum: 1440 minutes (24 hours).
    • Recommendation: Avoid very short intervals (less than 10-15 min) to avoid polluting the chat, unless the chat is very fast.
  • Message Type:
    • Normal: The bot sends it as a common chat message.
    • Announcement: The bot uses the Twitch /announce command (if available/allowed), highlighting the message with a special background color. Ideal for very important warnings.
  • Active:
    • Checked by default. Defines if the timer starts running as soon as it is saved.
