This policy explains how our desktop application stores data locally on your device. Unlike websites, desktop applications like Bearry have very limited use of traditional cookies, mainly using local storage.

Bearry uses local storage technologies to:

  • Settings: Save your preferences and configurations
  • Authentication: Maintain session with Twitch (temporarily)
  • Cache: Improve application performance
  • User Data: Store custom commands and bot configurations

Purpose: Basic application functioning
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 7, IX of LGPD)
Location: Local application folder on your computer

Examples:

  • Application settings
  • Interface preferences
  • Theme and language settings

Purpose: Advanced bot features
Legal Basis: Contract execution (Art. 7, V of LGPD)
Location: Local database

Examples:

  • Custom commands created by the user
  • Chat bot configurations
  • Custom timers
  • OBS integration settings

Purpose: Session and authentication
Legal Basis: Contract execution (Art. 7, V of LGPD)
Duration: Only during application use

Examples:

  • Twitch authentication token (temporary)
  • API data cache
  • User session

Stored Data:

  • Access token (temporary)
  • Basic channel information
  • Integration settings

Purpose: Connect and operate the bot on your Twitch channel

Currently, we do not use other third-party integrations that store data locally.
